Decoupage cans for beginners
Decoupage - the technique of decorating various objects, based on attaching to any subject a picture, a picture or an ornament (usually carved). You can say that this is a real art with a touch of magic. Thanks to this technique, you can create stunning things that will please the eye and come in handy on the farm. And most importantly, to practice in this technique, you can use anything (for example, empty glass jars).
You will need:
- glass jars;
- napkins for decoupage (or usual with a picture);
- glue-varnish for decoupage;
- white acrylic paint (or another for your taste).
Before working, the surface of the cans must be prepared. To do this, degrease the jars with an alcohol-containing solution. Then apply 2 primer coat and allow them to dry out.
Polish the dried up soil with a fine-grained sandpaper and apply another coat of primer. In this way, the surface of the jar will become even smoother.
Take the acrylic paint and paint the jar. Color choose at your own discretion, the main thing is that it is combined with the future drawing. Paint, like soil, is better applied in two layers.
Take the napkins, cut out the desired pattern and separate the extra layers (only the top colored layer is needed).
In the place of future location of the picture, apply glue-varnish for decoupage. Attach a napkin there, and apply glue-varnish for decoupage from the top. As a result, the glue will impregnate the napkin, and when it is cold, it fixes the image on the jar. After the glue dries - cover with glue-varnish for decoupage the whole jar again to apply a protective layer.
Beautiful jars are ready! By the way in them you can store everything your heart desires.
Now you have an idea about the technique of decoupage. It's very simple really. A little imagination and a couple of good ideas are the guarantee of beautiful and unusual handicrafts.
