How to make a LED garland with haunches of ping-pong balls for Halloween
The atmosphere plays a very important role in the preparation of any holiday and can disperse even a boring party. Particularly important moment, creating the atmosphere of the holiday, is the correct decor of the room. Glowing ghosts in the dark - this eerie, and at the same time fun project for Halloween. The image of the cast (like the pumpkin) will create an unforgettable and original atmosphere in your home. This garland with ghosts is perfect for decorating frames and mirrors. In addition, against its background, you and your guests can arrange a real photo session in the spirit of Halloween.
You will need:
- Balls for Ping-Pong (10 is used in the project);
- A great nail;
- A small LED garland (by the number of balls or slightly more);
- Glue for decoupage;
- Permanent marker;
- Empty egg packaging;
- Baking paper.
Take the nail (the size of the nail should be equal to the diameter of the lamp cap in the garland or slightly less) and puncture the hole in the ping-pong ball. By the way, if the ping-pong balls you have with the logo - make a hole exactly in place of the logo.
Insert the light bulb into the ping-pong ball. The light bulb should easily enter the hole, and the ping-pong ball should be firmly fixed on the base and not fall.
Remove all the ping-pong balls from the garland and the permanent marker draw them faces. Try to make them happy, evil, scary, dumb ... any (use emoticons for inspiration). By the way, for the convenience of drawing, you can use a container of eggs or call children (they should like it).
Take the cheesecloth and cut out rectangles of 20 x 40 size. Fold them in half to get the squares 20 x 20. See, by the way, they do not need to be folded perfectly.
Take the empty egg package and increase the pommel. To do this, you can use wooden sticks, paint tape or something else at your discretion. The main thing is that the ball for ping-pong was raised to the height of 2-3, see. Put on the base paper for baking and put the ping-pong balls on the pommel.
Dilute some glue for decoupage with a small amount of water (about 5: 1) until you get a slightly fluid consistency.
Dip and well soak the gauze squares in the prepared solution.
Then, squeeze them well, put the soaked gauze on the ping-pong ball and smooth the gauze from above. Please note that the sticky gauze should not come into contact with anything other than a ping-pong ball and baking paper.
Allow the gauze to dry for at least 24 hours.
Once the ghosts dry - put them on a garland. If you want the ghosts to stay on the LED garland better - glue them to the socle. It remains only to place such a garland in the interior. You can decorate the frame, mirror or create a composition.
