How to make a bracelet from old jeans
From jeans you can make a lot of interesting things. For example, a stylish denim bracelet, which will be an exclusive decoration. To make such a bracelet is very simple, and it will take it all about 15-20 minutes. This bracelet will look stylish at any time of the year (especially in summer), and will also be a pleasant gift for women of all ages.
You will need:
- Stripe of denim fabric (the width of the future bracelet);
- Beads 8-12 mm in diameter (depends on the width of the bracelet);
- Elastic rubber band;
- Needle with a thick eye, so that the rubber can get into it, but at the same time the needle gets into the hole of the bead.
Cut out a strip of old jeans. The length of the strip should be 2-3 times longer than the circumference of the wrist. If necessary, you can cut off the excess in the end. Choose the width of the strip at your discretion.
Make a fringe on both sides. To do this, pull all the longitudinal threads along the edges of the fabric strip. By the way, it's more convenient with tweezers.
Using a needle, assemble the accordion from the fabric (should get 3 bending). Try to make the bends about the same height.
After 3 bends add a bead, and then re-assemble the accordion.
Continue forming the accordion, and every three folds add a bead. You can experiment and pick up a different number of stitches. At the same time, try to make the periodicity of adding beads the same.
The last stitch should be on the front side of the fabric.
Wrap a rope bracelet several times and make a fixing knot. From the inside of the bracelet, you can sew a rubber band of the necessary length so that it is better fixed on the arm.
That's all! Jeans bracelet with beads is ready. You can wear it yourself or give it to a loved one.
